fairkids field trips
The Los Angeles County Fair (LACF) is The World's Largest Classroom — where there is a new discovery around every corner.
For over 15 years, the FairKids Field Trip Program has allowed students and teachers to enjoy an interactive educational experience, or what we call A Day Full of Learning Cleverly Disguised as Fun!
Why take a FairKids Field Trip?
- It's appropriate for students from preschool through high school
- Programs are grade-level and subject specific so they fit easily into existing curriculum
- Curriculum aligns with California State Department of Education standards
- It's FREE! There is no cost for students, teachers, or chaperones - courtesy of The Learning Centers at Fairplex
FairKids Field Trips are Wednesdays through Fridays (throughout the LA County Fair).
LACF opens three hours early (9 a.m.) for school children to participate in controlled fun and educational activities related to agriculture, art, science, literature, California heritage, and life on a real farm.
Because of funding cut-backs in the school districts, the FairKids Field Trips are the only field trips some schools get to experience, so LACF attempts to make the experience as impactful as possible to fill a need in our communities.
If you would like to donate to bring students in your community to the Fair for an educational field trip, donate now and designate your gift and provide a direct benefit to local students.
