1 million and counting…

More than one million students and teachers have visit the Los Angeles County Fair as part of TLC’s Fairtime Education program. Schools visit free of charge and experience the educational aspects behind the Fair’s programming.


careers started here

Since the Career and Technical Education Center’s inception, over 1,000 students have completed classes – for credit and experience – in art, automotive arts, horticulture, hospitality, water technology among other subjects. CTEC offers certification in many of its courses. CTEC students have gone on to fulfilling careers made possible through their studies with CTEC.


preparing tomorrow’s leaders

The Junior Fair Board offers scholarships to high school seniors for their volunteer efforts as a member of JFB. JFB students are mentored by professionals in such areas as hospitality and marketing, and assist with community service projects during a two-year program. The program is open to local juniors and seniors.
